How old do you have to be to go into a sports book in Las Vegas?
I’m 18 years old and my dad and I are planning on taking a trip to Vegas. Would I be allowed into a book if I was with my dad and I didn’t do any gambling? I would just watch games and have my dad place bets for me.

The minimum age to be in a Las Vegas casino is 21. You can walk through a casino, but if security sees you loitering or observing any gambling, they will ask you to leave or keep moving.
Going into a sports book and watching your dad gamble is no different than watching someone play blackjack or a slot machine. Security will ask you to leave.
Some security guards in Vegas are real jerks to anyone who appears to be under 21.
It’s a real bummer being a minor in Vegas. I recommend that you just wait until you’re 21 before attempting something like that. You’ll have a lot more fun.

By law, it’s 21. It’s the real, safe “bet” and you can bank on it too.

Twenty one. Although, the Riviera is a little more relaxed due to the proximity of the arcade, food-court and the sports book.
