Wager through a legal sports book online?

Is there a way to place a wager through a legal sports book online? If not, do you have to call Vegas?

Wanting to place a few wagers on the NCAA March Madness would rather do it via Vegas. Any suggestions on a online sports betting site?

Answer

If you are looking for a legal online sportsbook in the United States, the availability depends on your location, as each state has its own regulations regarding online sports betting. Some states with legal online sports betting include New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Colorado, West Virginia, Tennessee, Illinois, Michigan, Virginia, and Iowa.

Popular and reputable online sportsbooks that operate legally in the United States include:

  1. DraftKings Sportsbook (https://www.draftkings.com/sportsbook)
  2. FanDuel Sportsbook (https://www.fanduel.com/sportsbook)
  3. BetMGM (https://sports.betmgm.com/)
  4. PointsBet (https://www.pointsbet.com/)
  5. William Hill (https://www.williamhill.com/)

Please note that you must be physically located in a state that allows online sports betting to use these sites. If you are not in a state with legal online sports betting, you may need to consider other options, such as calling a Las Vegas sportsbook or finding a local bookmaker.

Always check the regulations in your area and ensure that you are using a legal and licensed sportsbook to place your wagers.

I would seriously avoid both online and indian gaming.

They both lack regulatory oversight, you have no legal protection or recourse with both.

Online gaming is illegal in the US.

You cannot “call Vegas”, the only way to wager in Vegas is in person (you be there or thru a friend who’s there). Gaming regulations do not allow calls to the Race & Sports Book.
