10 popular strategies in sports betting

While there is no foolproof strategy that guarantees success in sports betting, employing a combination of strategies can help improve your chances of winning. Here are some popular strategies to consider:

  1. Value betting: Look for situations where the odds offered by sportsbooks may not accurately reflect the true probability of an outcome. Identifying and betting on value bets can lead to long-term profitability.
  2. Statistical analysis: Research teams and players extensively, focusing on their recent form, head-to-head records, and performance in specific situations. This can help you make more informed decisions when placing bets.
  3. Bankroll management: Set a budget for your sports betting and stick to it. Use a staking plan, such as a fixed percentage of your bankroll for each bet, to minimize the risk of significant losses.
  4. Bet on underdogs: Betting on underdogs, especially in situations where the public heavily favors the favorite, can offer better value and potentially higher returns.
  5. Live betting: Take advantage of in-play betting to capitalize on changing game dynamics. This can be particularly useful when betting on football, as you can observe the flow of the game and make adjustments to your bets accordingly.
  6. Line shopping: Compare odds across different sportsbooks to find the best lines and maximize your potential winnings.
  7. Fade the public: In some cases, going against popular opinion can be profitable, as the public can overvalue certain teams or players.
  8. Focus on player props: As you mentioned, betting on player props (such as completions for quarterbacks) can be a profitable strategy, especially if you have a deep understanding of player performance and game situations.
  9. Utilize advanced statistics: Incorporate advanced stats like Expected Goals (xG) in football, Player Efficiency Rating (PER) in basketball, or Wins Above Replacement (WAR) in baseball to make more informed betting decisions.
  10. Stay disciplined: Stick to your strategy, avoid chasing losses, and maintain a long-term perspective. Don’t let emotions cloud your judgment when placing bets.

Remember that no strategy guarantees success, and sports betting always carries a risk. Experiment with different strategies and refine your approach over time to find what works best for you.

I’ve answered your other two questions so I won’t repeat any of that info, but at you will find a link to the strategy that I personally use to profit with sports betting. It is a system that can work whether your bankroll is $100,00 or $10! There is nothing to purchase, it’s all free information to help you win! Props are usually just for fun, but there are some particular ones that you can exploit. One of my faves has always been “Last play of the game a QB rush” I take that on the YES as a kneel down is considered a rush and I hit more often than not as I take it on blowout type games. Good luck!

First off, you need to use Bankroll Management.

Props are props, which is more of a fun bet. Very enjoyable and profitable if you know what your doing.

STAY AWAY FROM PARLAYS!!! Sucker Bet!!!

Play 1 team at a time, do some research, I spend anywhere from 40-60hrs per week just studying the NFL games for Sunday?monday

Research, trends and analysis are your best friends when sports betting.

I like value bets. This means you bet on high odds for example 5.0. It is value when you think the odds are actually smaller . ex. 4.0. In that case the odds are not calculated good by the betting site.

  • SiteMGM

there are a few strategies: either by bonus arbitrage (however your profits are limited here) – see below link for details about using this strategy

or another strategy would be sure betting, but in this case you can make good money only if you get to turn over larger amounts of money. basically this strategy uses the odds differences at online bookmakers you could find some cases that no matter who wins in a certain game, if you bet some amounts of money on all outcomes you will get on profit (2-10%) – risk free. For a good sure betting option see at the below link, just select from the first drop down menu Sure betting

    Good luck!

    Simple. Pick the winning teams.

Here is a site that can help you out, it has a winning track record of NCAA and NFL games for ATS (against the spread) and straight up (moneyline) picks for ten years.

And the picks are all FREE.

Football, I usually look at the teams statistics, while baseball I usually look at a teams win/lose factors taking into consideration the “home field advantage.” Using this strategy, I have had about a 71% success rate so far…

Another strategy for winning money is to not lose it in the process…

There is an online site that offers sports bets that is completely free, legal, and has no age minimum. It has been featured on, and is pretty cool. You sign up and receive $.10 for nothing, and you get to place bets on any sports game. I signed up about 4 days ago, and my $.10 has already grown exponentially over 11x! I know of people who have won over 1,000, and again, it is completely FREE! The advertisements on the website pay for everything. You can cash out to receive a check, and it can be cashed at any US bank.

The site is called Cent Sports, and since you really have nothing to lose… you can check it out at
